How it hangs on and continues to publish is a mystery to me.

In an uncanny twist, given Archie's recent abuse of the theme of electoral recounts, my first sighting of the word 'unconstitutional' occurred in some Archie product. Archie's school paper declared on its front page, 'Homework Is Unconstitutional'. I asked my mother what the word meant. Sadly, I do not recall her answer. But there it is: constitutional abuse and cheery contempt for education all in one image aimed at children by ignorant writers carrying on a franchise that debases the comic form. I ask that question seriously, as someone who is not an expert in comics, but who remembers reading some Archie and Jughead when I was much younger, and finding them fairly unconvincing? Oh, and Sugar, Sugar doesn't count; I really loved that song.)Sammy Wheelock aka "SW"https://www.blogger.com/profile/12838650350541903735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4939540709666345656.post-34969916529271213562011-09-12T17:39:10.775-04:002011-09-12T17:39:10.775-04:00The Archie cartoon is despicable. Conflating these two groups and bitching at them for being overly concerned with their "intellectual property" is the worst kind of weakass freetard internet whinging. Or perhaps you intend to refuse all advances or royalties from your next published volume as some kind of free-IP hero?

Also, I can see the cartoons in this post.Lars Ulrichnoreply@blogger.com
